Congratulations, you have captured the decline of suburban shopping arcades! So many empty shopfronts and the multiple ethnic businesses hoping to succeed despite the loss of foot traffic. The Art Deco and terrazzo floored arcades are architectural treasures and it’s such a shame to see some of them so unmaintained, setting like prey for developers. Seems only some of the older CBD arcades which have novelty value and can command very high rent seem to remain viable these days. I remember as a child and teen when these arcades were still special places and your photographs bring back nice memories.
